NHL.com Feature on Goaltender Ty Conklin

I doubt many here do not remember Ty Conklin but for those that don't you will see his name littered throughout UNH Men's Hockey record books.

NHL.com has a feature story about Ty possibly being selected to play in what would be his second outdoor NHL game. He was recently called up from the starting job for the Pittsburgh Penguins' AHL affiliate, Wilkes/Barre-Scranton Penguins. In two starts with Pittsburgh since then he has recorded two victories, one in the shootout, both over the Boston Bruins.

Conklin first played in the Winter Classic for the Edmonton Oilers who picked up the undrafted Wildcat after graduation in 2001.

So, check out the article and clear your calender for 1pm EDT New Year's Day 2008 for the first ever Winter Classic Outdoor Game on American soil.

Go 'Cats!
