Hockey Night in Wildcat Nation

USHL Report:

Blake Kessel steps up and scores the game-tying, powerplay goal and his Waterloo Blackhawks rode Matt DiGirolamo to their league-leading 38th victory and 80th point to remain atop the league with one game left to play. DiGirolamo turned aside 21 shots only letting up on a mid-first period powerplay goal assisted by Mike Sislo. All the goals on the night were powerplay goals with Blake's goal coming at 12:37 of the second with the eventual game-winner coming just 50 seconds later - it's worth noting that Sislo was the responsible party on Kessel's goal, he was called for slashing. Mike Borisenok was held pointless in the losing effort by Green Bay though registering three shots, tied for most on the team this night.

Dan Dries did not play and Phil DeSimone and Will O'Neill faced off but did not factor in the games.

ECHL Report:

Shawn Vinz picked up his first, pro playoff point assisting on the Charlotte Checkers game-tying goal in the second period but they would shortly relinquish the stalemate and lose to the powerful Florida Everblades(not as powerful as when Steve Saviano played for them though).

Other games are in progress including Tyler Scott and Kevin Truelson with the Bakersfield Condors and Justin Aikins and Brian Yandle with the Phoenix Roadrunners and Nathan Martz with the Stockton Thunder. No tallies for them yet.

AHL Report:

Living up to the hype - Darren Haydar assisted and scored and Jason Krog added two assists in a no-decision with the Milwaukee Admirals. They're going into OT now.
*Shootout victory for the Chicago Wolves even though both Haydar and Krog missed.*

Everyone else was held pointless including Garrett Stafford, Josh Prudden, Jacob Micflikier and Trevor Smith.

Final update for the night will be coming shortly.

Go 'Cats!
